Policies

ART REQUIREMENTS
  • Vector files with all fonts converted to outlines are preferred. .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .EPS and .PDF are the most common formats
  • We can also use a .JPG, .TIF, or .PSD file with a resolution of at least 300dpi
  • If you don’t have a logo or idea check out our design studio where you can create your own design or choose from hundreds of customizable templates

TIPS FOR AVOIDING ART FEES

  • We think it’s great so we’ll say it again…check out our design studio and get creative!
  • Bring in or e-mail us a picture, Pinterest pin, or web page with your design idea and we can create something similar
  • Provide as much information as possible. We love working with our customers to create the perfect design, and the better we understand what you are looking for the smoother the process will be

FINE PRINT

  • Art fees are billed at $25 per hour with a one hour minimum
  • We allow one free revision per design. Additional revisions will incur art fees at the standard rate.
  • Any changes to artwork after screens have been prepared will incur art fees at the standard rate.
  • Digital proofs will be provided at no charge upon request
  • Shoemaker Custom Apparel owns all art files created in-house
  • We dislike extra fees as much as you do, and we do our best to avoid charging them, however, for the sake of profitability and our sanity it is necessary in some cases. We don’t always charge an art fee, but when we do it is for a reason.  Get creative my friends.

SCREEN PRINTING
  • Screen Printing is priced based on garment style, quantity ordered, number of colors in your design and number of print locations.
  • The minimum order for our manual press is 12 of the same design and ink color.
  • The minimum order for our automatic press is 50 of the same design and ink color.
  • We do not add set-up, screen or ink change fees.  The price we give you is the price you pay.
  • Different garment styles, colors and sizes can be combined to meet the minimum order quantity as long as the design and ink colors are the same.

TURNAROUND TIME

  • Our standard turnaround time is 7-10 business days.
  • Turnaround time starts when we have all necessary information to complete your order.  This includes garment style, color and sizes, approved artwork, and any sponsors, names and numbers.
  • Rush service is available as our production schedule allows.  If you have a deadline for an event please let us know and we will do our best to work your order into the schedule

FINE PRINT

  • Youth sizes cannot be combined with adult sizes to meet the minimum order quantity. Youth shirts generally require a separate screen to be prepared with a smaller design.  We can discuss options if this is applicable to your order.
  • White underbases will be included as an additional color when quoting your order. Dark garments generally require a white underbase to achieve the best quality print.
  • Plastisol is our standard ink, however, we do have the capability to print water based ink. Jobs printed with water based ink will incur additional fees.  Contact us if you are interested in water based printing.
EMBROIDERY
  • Embroidery is priced based on garment style, quantity ordered, and stitch count.
  • There is no minimum order for embroidery
  • Logos must be digitized to stitch on our machine.  We do our best to digitize logos in-house at no charge, however, this is not always possible.  If we need to send your logo to our digitizer we will let you know in advance.  The fee for most logos is $20.  Jacket backs can be $60+.

FINE PRINT

  • Our minimum embroidery fee for a drop off item is $10
  • If we send your logo out for digitizing you own the file
  • Orders of 4 pieces or more receive discounted pricing
HEAT TRANSFER
  • Heat transfer is priced based on garment style, quantity, and complexity of the design.
  • There are no minimums for heat transfer
  • Full color transfers are available, but are subject to a minimum order value. Please ask us for more details.
  • Most t-shirts decorated with heat transfer will be priced in the $12-25 range depending on the garment selected and the design.

FINE PRINT

  • Not all designs can be heat transferred, give us a call to discuss your design and we can recommend the best decorating option.
  • Distressed designs do not work with heat transfer
  • The minimum fee for heat transfer on a garment you drop off is $5.
